Covering from an expose of the Fertile Crescent to the advent of the Ancient Celts
Grades 6-8
This unique history and critical thinking class is designed for homeschooled students. The class teaches classical history through various methods such as games, history analysis, research, multimedia, and Socratic discussions. The students will first learn the tools of the historian and then apply them in practical sessions. The curriculum is based on the book by John De Gree, World History Detective®. This book includes geographical maps, timelines, and concept maps, and it aims to develop critical thinking skills in students. The lessons teach the roles that technology, power, institutions, ideas, and trade play in shaping history.
